Monument Valley

Home Sweet Home...

Just a few photos of Monument Valley.
We've driven past the entrance to this park several times but had never stopped. It's just 4 miles off the highway and a $20 fee. We think it was worth it and want to go back and spend the night in order to stargaze...

Kind of looks like a gooney bird that fell down to me...

Scott wanted to know where the Borg were...

One of our kids recently commented that we love our
Jeep more than them...

If our grandkids were with us we would have them in this photo...
we love them lots! ;-)

Scott trying to be artistic...I do love the colors - but I bet you tilted your head didn't you?

There isn't a place to pull off (for an RV anyway) in this area - so pictures have to be taken through the windshield.

Love the red rock and dirt!

Love the texture of the rock too...

Moab - again...

Poison Spider Mesa - we ran into a group of Land Rovers. For each vehicle they had an instructor teaching them how to drive. They were talking smack about Jeeps so Scott was giving them his opinion...

At this point Scott got out and offered to wait for them in case they needed a winch up...

We questioned how deep the water was - but didn't have any options

We met some new friends - and our jeeping experience got that much better!

Oklahoma Green is getting out of Scott's way!

Here is that arch from the freeway side

Scott & Stan walked out across the arch

We are so thankful we met all of these folks - looking forward to years of 4 wheeling and friendship!

Green led us to a cave next to the arch...

What cool Jeeps!

They took us out to an overlook of Moab - this would not be a good place for people who are afraid of heights...

This is from Moab - we were on the top of that!

The next day...

The Brides...

Green told us we had to run over the gooney bird in order to have a good day - I didn't get it until we drove over the rocks base...

It got a little narrow here

Went to another overlook - this one was north of Moab. That road towards the highway was where we came up.

Behind this crazy guy is Arches National Park

Gemini Bridges - Anna wants to see the bottom - so Stan was holding on to her...and Green was worried.

No - we didn't run over it...

We ran over it on the way back too - just to ensure future good days of Jeeping!
