30 miles in 4 hrs 21 minutes
The word of the day was WIND!! As you can see from the picture of the flag we battled a headwind of 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph. The positive side of the day was that the roads were great and the shoulders wide!
On a funny note here is a rough idea of a conversation we had with some folks today;
Me; any suggestions for places to stay tonight?
Local; (in a deep southern accent) well, we've got two and I wouldn't stay in either...there was a murder in the one on the right last year and the one on the left is a crack house...
Scott; what was the murder about?
Local; well, crack...
Hahaha! Maybe you had to be there - but it was pretty funny!
