Antigua, Guatemala Week #3

El Tenedor is a restaurant up on the hill above Antigua - great place to go if you like modern art.

The one on the right is pretty good booze - the one on the left tastes like cough syrup.

There is a joke in there somewhere...

We asked why all the delivery trucks have armed guards - Guatemala is almost exclusively a cash society when it comes to stores buying goods. Therefore these trucks have the potential to have quite a bit of money on them at any given time.

We bought something from her and she has a beautiful smile with an entire row of gold teeth. She wouldn't grin when I took the picture though.

There are 128 mermaids in Antigua - this one is my favorite.

Any market you go to you will find a woman in traditional clothes making something on her loom.

This bird was begging for food by hanging upside down on the fence - he was quite the character.

Beautiful view coming down from El Tenedor into Antigua

VW bus for the Fire Department

There were two dogs squeezed onto this windowsill sound asleep.
